Castle In Meath - Ballinlough Castle Meath

Ballinlough Castle Meath main

Ballinlough Castle, a hidden gem in the Irish countryside but just one hour from Dublin is home to the same family for almost 400 years.

It can be yours too, for a family holiday, as a corporate getaway, or as a private home for a private wedding.

Ballinlough Castle is also a recognised venue for boutique music festivals.

“There are things and people and places that expand us not beyond our potential, but beyond our parameters. Those and you and this place have afforded me that. Thank you.”

History

Ballinlough Castle Meath hist
“I shall return to this wonderful world of yours” USA Visitor September 2006

“What a wonderful place and incredible staff.” USA Visitor 2007

You can hire the castle for a family event, a corporate getaway, or just to call a castle home. In return you will experience privacy and space associated with a time gone by. You will feel that you are in the middle of nowhere, but you will be only an hour from Dublin.

To stay at Ballinlough is to walk in the grounds and row on the lake, undisturbed by the pace of modern life; to read and eat and talk, perhaps enjoy a massage; time to wonder where your time normally goes.

Do you sometimes yearn for the days when children roamed free, used nature and their own creative imagination to stimulate their minds and bodies, feeling at one with the earth, with sun on their faces and wind in their hair?

Ballinlough is where children find that life. Camp-fires and cook-outs, butterflies and wild flowers and, most precious of all, nobody else. A place and a time for children to be children.

“When Van Morrison wrote of “days like this”, he meant days like yesterday. Thank you”. Guest 2008
